Malta’s climate in September and October
In September in Malta we are still in typical summer weather! The minimum temperatures remain around 20 degrees and so even in the evening you can often still go out in a simple T-shirt and dine al fresco. During the day, on the other hand, beach life is still largely possible and the maximum temperatures are around 28 degrees. Even in October, especially in the first half of the month, you will have no great difficulty in prolonging the summer, even if some slightly heavier rain may start to make itself felt from time to time. The sea temperatures during September and October are still quite pleasant in Malta and still allow almost everyone to bathe above 20 degrees. A few windy days may still occur, so it may be advisable to equip yourself in this case, especially in the second half of October, even with a jacket.

Climate in Malta in November and December
In November and December the weather in Malta becomes slightly more autumnal although one should not be too frightened, in fact temperatures at this latitude are, thanks also to the Mediterranean, never too cold. The highs average 20 degrees in November and 17 in December. The real drawback is the rainfall, which reaches its highest level during the year in these two months, so you might run into a few cloudy days with some bad weather. It is not uncommon in November, especially in the first half of the month, to still be able to indulge in some swimming in the sea, thanks to a water temperature of still around 20 degrees, although one must clearly rely on the sun and the absence of precipitation. The minimum temperatures are not rigid even at night, although clearly in December, being around 10 degrees, autumn clothing is advisable.
